The Cape Town City Bowl Area is one of the most beautiful city centres in the world. Surrounded on three sides by the slopes of the famous flat topped Table Mountain and on the fourth side by the harbour and deep blue sea of Table Bay. The imposing mountain creates an impressive backdrop to everyday life in this City and is a point of reference for any directions. The heart of the city has grown from the original Fort built by the Dutch settlers in the 1600s outwards.

The city teems with a harmonious multi-cultural life during the day, offering shopping experiences from the most modern Western goods to African artifacts. Elegant business people rushing to appointments, rub shoulders with colourful flower sellers and street traders from all over Africa.

At night the lights go up on a host of restaurants and bars. Cape Town is a gourmet's paradise with no shortage of good food. The cuisine is a truly global selection of tastes and varieties ranging from local Cape Malay style(a mix of Dutch and East Indies that grew from the Spice Route shipping traffic) to the highest level of fine dining. No meal is complete without a glass, or two, of the internationally acclaimed Cape wines.

The city offers a wide selection of self catering villas and apartments. Modern apartment blocks with unlimited sea and mountain views have grown up close to the Harbour area. Further up the Table Mountain Slopes is the Gardens and Tamboerskloof area.

The Gardens area was named after the Dutch East India Company's gardens where fresh produce was grown for the passing ships. This is predominantly a residential area with a range from historic Victorian houses to ultra modern apartments.

Closer to the top of the mountain is the sheltered Higgovale and Oranjezitcht area. Nestled amongst the pine trees are some of the most exclusive villas with spectacular views across Table Bay.
