About Me
She may have been bitten by an array of animals from monkeys to ducks but it takes more than that to distract Kerry from what she does best: tailor-make a Cape Town villa experience for her clients.
Her background in the hospitality trade, along with years in the villa industry, has given her the skills and knowledge to find the right villas for her clients’ needs. And she still gets excited about them: ‘You just can’t beat those amazing Atlantic seaboard villas,’ she explains ‘there’s something for everyone.’
Always up for an adventure (try one of her random road trips), Kerry lists both Durban and Johannesburg as home towns but it’s Cape Town that made her stop in her tracks after long travels throughout Southern Africa and Europe and it’s been home ever since. She loves the city to bits but it’s out-of-the-way destinations in South Africa that she gets most excited about, ranking hidden Garden Route gems or the lesser well-known wine farms as her favourites.
Why I love Cape Town
“What always amazes me is the fact that you only have to drive an hour or so out of Cape Town to find yourself in another world. I often say that Capetonians don’t need to travel overseas: vineyards, mountains, empty beaches, forests, great restaurants - they’re all here!
It’s also the laid-back attitude that I like here, and the fact that there’s such a colourful and unique culture, a blend of languages, religions, politics and history that you can often pick up in conversation with the locals, or - even better - when you go exploring off the beaten track.”
Why choose a Cape Town villa
“Not only are Cape Town villas ideal for groups and families but they enable you to experience the Mother City as a local. Spend the day shopping, exploring and discovering as we do, and then head back to your villa, pour yourself a drink, slump on a sofa and put your feet up - bottom line, it’s like being at home. You get all the privacy and space you need and if you’ve got children you don’t have to worry about them upsetting other hotel guests - let them go wild!
And speaking of hotels, Cape Town villas work out to be far more economical than their hotel equivalents, plus someone still comes in every day to tidy up and do the washing. Oh, and try lighting the barbeque at a hotel ...”
