The villa's superior position above Bantry Bay provides spectacular 180 degree views of the Atlantic Ocean and surrounding majestic mountain range. The villa itself is an architectural masterpiece, with its spacious dimensions, minimalist decor and eclectic art collection creating an elegant and stylish space. The villa is built over three levels: the top level contains three spacious bedrooms, the middle level includes the open-plan living area and the lower level houses a spa (which is available for use by the occupants of Ellerman House as well as the villa), and two additional rooms which can be hired at an additional cost. The high ceilings, tall windows and wide timber decks create the impression of being out at sea, with endless views of the ocean.
The design of the villa is tastefully modern, with glass sliding doors opening onto the many deck areas, and top-of-the-range appliances. The plasma touch panels installed throughout the house control the home environment, including opening and closing window coverings, adjusting lighting and room temperature, controlling the temperatures of the pool and sauna and requesting services from the massage therapist, butler or caterer.
Although the villa differs vastly in its architectural design and decor from the original Ellerman House, both the villa and and the main house are uncompromising when it comes to quality and service. The villa has its own private butler and chef, providing an exclusive and attentive service to its guests, who have sole use of all the facilities while in residence. Bedroom 1 Located on the upper level of the house, the extremely spacious master bedroom, which is decorated in shades of aqua blue and cool creams, has a sense of tranquility and peace. It features a king size bed, a plush, cream carpet and sliding glass doors which open completely onto a wooden deck from which spectacular sea views can be enjoyed. The bathroom is en-suite and there is a separate dressing area with walk-in wardrobes. Bedroom 2 The second bedroom, which is known as the lilac room, is decorated in shades of lavender and stone grey, and features sea views equally as superb as those viewed from the master bedroom. It is furnished with a king size bed, soft fitted carpets and a separate walk-in wardrobe and it opens through sliding glass doors onto a teak deck. The bathroom is en-suite. Bedroom 3 The third bedroom, also known as the yellow room, is located on the opposite side of the house to the first two, and as a result looks out onto the majestic Twelve Apostles mountain range. Decorated in soft gold and rich maroon, this room features two single beds, a luxurious cream carpet, built-in wardrobes and an en-suite bathroom. |

Bathroom 2 En-suite to the second bedroom, this bathroom is decorated in striking Bali-style, with an ornate, carved timber headboard providing a striking backdrop to the spacious bath and dark marble countertops and polished marble floor. The expansive, open-plan living area, which is located on the ground level of the villa, is surrounded by tall glass doors, through which magnificent views of the ocean can be enjoyed. These sliding doors open completely onto a wide timber deck, creating a wonderful sense of indoor-outdoor flow. A beautifully designed lift connects all levels of the house, and looks like a modern gilded cage, striking and impressive. The dining area features a round glass-topped dining table surrounded by eight chic upholstered chairs. High above the dining area hangs an exquisite crystal chandelier designed by Swarovski specifically for this villa. The lounge, which is adjacent and open-plan to the dining area is decorated in shades of soothing turquoise and muted stone and is furnished with a suede L-shaped couch, two suede armchairs, and a loose carpet atop the polished timber floorboards.The large glass windows surrounding the lounge area peel back effortlessly and open up the indoor spaces to spectacular views of the ocean. Also located on the ground level of the villa is a separate entertainment room, featuring a massive flat-screen plasma television with a vast selection of DVDs and CDs. This cozy room, which is decorated in hues of ruby red and pale ochre, is furnished with a huge L-shaped couch, a soft loose carpet and a fireplace set in the wall, making it the ideal place to curl up and enjoy a movie on a chilly evening. Situated next door to the entertainment room is a ladies study, where one can sit and listen to music, read a book, or do some work. Along one side of the room is a long pale turquoise divan, while the other side features a desk and several rows of bookshelves. The deck has a fully furnished outdoor sitting area, complete with several wicker sofas and armchairs where one can sit and sip on a sundowner or read a book. In addition, there is an outdoor dining area with a 6-seater wood table. Right on the edge of the deck overlooking the sea is a crystal-clear plunge pool surrounded by loungers, the perfect spot for a quick dip. On the upper level each bedroom opens onto a private part of the wraparound deck, with beautiful clear views. On the lower level the spa and downstairs room open onto a wide open-plan deck and large swimming pool, framed with soft cream couches and coffee tables. |
