Mouille Point
Mouille Point is a great holiday destination, perfectly located within walking distance from all the major attractions, yet still chilled and relaxed enough to enjoy your break. It is family friendly, with small un-crowded beaches, its own promenade and a remarkable variety of stylish restaurants to choose from.
Mouille Point is an upmarket suburb with amazing views of the Atlantic Ocean, Robben Island and Lion’s Head. It is most famous for its lighthouse, which is the oldest operational lighthouse in the country. There is a diverse mix of delis, hair salons, spas, and boutiques, as well as added attractions like a high-class golf course and a few sailing clubs to visit.
It also has a promenade that runs all along the coast, where the kids can have fun on the jungle gyms in the park or take a ride on the charming little Blue Train. There’s also a putt-putt course and a maze to keep the older children entertained before going out for a smoothie, some pizza or a sundowner while you sit back and relax.
A peaceful stroll along the scenic walkways make for a wonderful outdoor family excursion and during the hot summer days the best thing to do is grab an ice cream or find a shady spot on the beach under an umbrella to get away from the late afternoon heat. Mouille Point is the preferred hangout for kayakers and joggers, but there are also many small beaches to visit where the kids can play in the sand or splash around in the ocean waters.
Mouille Point promenade has a strip of apartment blocks and many have trendy restaurants and bars on the ground floor. Hugely popular with locals and tourists alike.

During autumn in May and June, the days are warm, but the evenings begin to cool down dramatically. If you are interested in hiking or walking excursions, this is the perfect time of year to visit.
From the beginning of July till the end of September the weather is mostly cold and rainy, so beachgoers looking for fun in the sun should give this time of year a miss.
