Franschhoek’s climate is mostly mild making it a great destination all year around. The best time to holiday in the Winelands is between late summer and early autumn. During the end of September the warm, sunny summer days are perfect for outdoor excursions and activities.
In autumn the entire area including the fields of vineyards, changes colour and the weather becomes much cooler, which allows for pleasant hikes up the mountains as well as grape-picking at one of the many historical wine estates located in the area.
