It's a question we often get asked: what's the difference between a Cape Town villa and a Cape Town apartment - and here's the answer:
The first point is that there's much similarity between our villas and apartments: both offer beautiful interiors, super-modern audio-visual entertainment, air conditioning, under-floor heating and fully equipped kitchens as well as the little details like quality linen and fluffy bath towels.
What a Cape Town villa offers however, is sheer exclusivity. While our apartments are part of a larger accommodation complex, our villas are free-standing properties offering more space, more privacy, and sole-use rights over their facilities such as pools and gardens.
That's not to say you don't get these facilities at most of our apartments - you'll just have to share them with others - though note that Cape Town apartments often feature facilities not available at villas such as gyms and saunas.
Villas are great for families and groups, and given the fact that villas tend to be larger than apartments, it's also easier to make use of extra services such as a chef or butler - you've got the space - and they tend to be located a little way out of town on the fabulous Cape Peninsula coastline with amazing mountain and ocean views.
The smaller Cape Town apartments are perfect for a more intimate holiday and their location closer to the heart of the city and 'lock-up-and-go' nature means they are ideal for those who want to mix beach and city life with night life.
