Cape Town International Kite Festival

Africa’s biggest kite festival attracts some of the biggest names - and kites - in the world, and the air above this breezy seaside suburb is packed with colour and form. Food stalls, kids’ rides, entertainment and a craft market complete the deal.

Spier Red Week Festival

Where: Stellenbosch
The vivid scarlet blossoms of Spier’s spring-flowering coral trees give this festival its name but it’s this wine estate’s excellent red wines that are the main focus of this week-long celebration of good food and wine.

The FNB Whisky Live Festival

Festival of White Lights
