Situated just a few roads back from the ambient Camps Bay promenade, Villa Lumiere feels like it is in a world of its own. The interior of the villa is extremely luxurious, with opulent furnishings and state-of-the-art appliances. However, this lavishness is off-set by the incorporation of plenty of rough stonework and lush green plants inside the house which together create a sense of elegance and style. The five bedrooms, four of which are situated on the upper floor and one which is in its own separate suite on the ground floor, are all named after semi-precious stones and have been decorated accordingly. They are virtually equal in stature: all are equipped with the same top-class amenities and all have spectacular views of the natural grandeur that Cape Town has to offer. Equally as stylish as the interior of the villa, the spacious outdoor terrace with its cascading infinity pool provides the perfect place for entertaining on a balmy summer evening.

Bedroom 1 The master bedroom is simply breathtaking; infused with golden sunlight and fresh air, with unsurpassed ocean views, it truly is a sight to behold. This extremely spacious room is known as the Peridot room as it is decorated in shades of pistachio green, honey-gold, and pristine white. It is furnished with a king size bed, dark timber furniture, a carpeted floor, a safe and a flat screen satellite television. Heavy brocade curtains frame sliding glass doors opening onto a tiled balcony from which one can enjoy spectacular views of the Twelve Apostles mountain range, Camps Bay beach and the twinkling Atlantic beyond. Bedroom 2 This bedroom, which has been named the Garnet room, is beautifully adorned in the shades of rich pinks, reds and browns that characterize this precious stone. Almost as spacious as the master bedroom, this room is furnished with heavy gold curtains, a queen size bed, built-in wardrobes, a soft carpeted floor, a safe, and a flat screen television. It opens through sliding doors onto a balcony overlooking the pool, from where majestic mountain, beach and ocean views can be enjoyed. Bedroom 3 Known as the Tanzanite room for its striking colour scheme displaying multiple shades of deep rich blue, this room is also exceptionally spacious and airy. It is furnished with a soft carpeted floor, twin beds (which can be converted to a king size bed on request), a safe, a flat screen television, built in wardrobes and dark timber furniture. From the windows of this room, a phenomenal view of the mountain can be seen, which is particularly striking during early summer evenings when soft white clouds roll over the craggy top like a blanket. Bedroom 4 This sun drenched room is decorated in shades of rich gold, yellow and copper, thus lending it the name the Citrine room. It is furnished with a fitted cream coloured carpet, twin single beds, polished timber furniture, billowing gold curtains, air conditioning, a flat screen television, a safe, and built in wardrobes. Whilst lying in bed one can enjoy a magnificent view of the ocean to one side and of Table Mountain to the other. The bathroom is en-suite. Bedroom 5 The fifth bedroom is known as the Tigers Eye suite due to its combination of fiery orange and red fabrics and earthy African decor. It is separated from the main body of the house by an outside gravelled courtyard, creating a sense of privacy, while still maintaining a feeling of connection with the rest of the villa as well as its occupants. This suite is furnished with a queen size bed, a flat screen television, a cushioned timber couch, a safe and an air conditioning unit. This room also has a separate dressing area with a timber table, as well as a small sitting lounge and a refreshment area, containing a fridge and a microwave oven. The bathroom is en-suite. |

Bathroom 1 En-suite to the master bedroom, this roomy bathroom contains a massive shower, a spa bath, a toilet, a bidet and a double vanity. The floor is covered in white travertine tiles and the walls are decorated with blue-grey mosaics. From the bath, which is positioned beside a tall floor-to-ceiling window, one can simultaneously soak up the warm water and the amazing view of the ocean which this room has to offer. Bathroom 2 This bathroom, which is en-suite to bedroom 2, has travertine floor tiles and pale blue mosaics adorning the walls. It contains a huge walk-in shower, a toilet, a single vanity, and a bath which, like the bath in the the master bathroom , is positioned next to a large window, from where beautiful ocean views can be enjoyed. Bathroom 3 En-suite to bedroom 3, this bathroom has white travertine floor tiles and navy blue mosaics decorating the walls. It contains a spacious shower, a toilet and a hand washbasin. Bathroom 4 This bathroom, which is en-suite to bedroom 4, also has travertine floor tiles and grey glass mosaics embellishing the walls. It contains a large bath, a toilet and a single vanity. Bathroom 5 En-suite to bedroom 5, this bathroom displays a stylish combination of rough cement walls and smooth travertine tiles. The living area, consisting of the lounge and dining room, is located on the ground floor and is open plan and extremely spacious. The lounge is beautifully decorated in shades of gold and mauve, with several elegant paintings adorning the walls. With its large, comfortable sofas and gas fireplace it is the perfect place to enjoy a night time cup of coffee or curl up with a book during a wet and rainy day. The lounge is furnished with two leather sofas, two maroon armchairs, two gold brocade armchairs and a large coffee table. The open plan dining room, which is situated adjacent to the lounge, contains a ten seater dining table and opens onto an outside patio with a swimming pool. The study, which is also located on the ground floor, is situated directly across the courtyard from the Tigers Eye suite. It has a soft carpeted floor and is furnished with a sofa, a large teak book cabinet, a chest of drawers and an animal hide ottoman. It also contains a large flat screen television with DVD player, and a work station with a computer, a fax machine and an ADSL line. In addition, there are venetian blinds and a ceiling fan which keep the room cool during the heat of the day. |

This villa is exceptionally secure. It is surrounded by high walls, with a remote-controlled garage door and an electric gate. There is an alarm system throughout the entire house, as well as a video intercom and a 24-hour security guard stationed at the entrance. The house can be accessed either by the gate from the road or directly from the garage. |
