Entering the property through an enormous timber front door, ones first impression of the house is one of spaciousness and cleanliness. With generously-proportioned rooms spread over three levels and a large open-plan living area, this luxurious villa provides the travel-weary visitor with a place to relax and rest your feet in beautiful surroundings. The house has a superb contemporary design and has been decorated accordingly; it displays a stylish combination of white linen, interspersed with smatterings of earthy hues, and glass and stainless steel finishes to give it a stylish modern appearance.
Despite its other numerous attributes, however, this elegant villas most remarkable feature is the one which gives it its name: that is, its magnificent sea view. The shaded outside patio provides the perfect location to enjoy an evening drink whilst watching the sun sink slowly below the horizon, after which one can head off to explore the popular night clubs of the Camps Bay promenade.
However, despite its generous proportions, Tidal Views is by no means cold or stark; quite the opposite, in fact. Tastefully decorated with white linen and soft stone-coloured carpeting, and interspersed with splashes of mauve and pistachio, this bedroom contains a king-size bed, large built-in wardrobes, a vast flat screen television with satellite connection, an air conditioning unit, a safe and underfloor heating. In one corner of the room there is a desk and an upholstered chair, next to which is a small gas fireplace set in the wall. The bathroom is en-suite, and the bedroom opens through sliding glass doors onto a tiled patio with unobstructed views of the Atlantic ocean. Bedroom 2 Decorated in shades of cream and stone with splashes of blue, this pleasant bedroom has an ocean theme, evident in the pictures of marine scenes adorning the walls and the shell-patterned curtains and pillows. It contains twin single beds, a bleached driftwood dressing table, built-in wardrobes and under floor heating. The bathroom is en-suite. Bedroom 3 Adorned in shades of terracotta and ochre, this bedroom is similar in size and decor to bedroom two, and has also been decorated in a marine style. It is furnished with twin single beds, a fitted carpeted floor and built-in wardrobes. The bathroom is en-suite. Bedroom 4 Situated on the lower floor, this spacious bedroom is furnished with a queen size bed, built-in wardrobes and a fitted carpet. Between the kitchen and the lounge is the dining area, which contains a 10-seater polished bleached timber table surrounded by beautifully upholstered chairs. Adjacent to the dining area is the lounge, which is furnished with two large stone-coloured sofas, a glass-topped steel coffee table, two large red armchairs and an ottoman. The room is decorated in a modern style, with geometric printed cushions scattered on the chairs and a striking black and cream carpet underfoot. In the lounge there is also a small fireplace, and air conditioning unit, under floor heating and a large flat screen television with satellite access. From this room there is a phenomenal sea view, and one can walk out onto the balcony from here through sliding glass doors. On the lower level of the house is an additional lounge and kitchen used by the occupants of bedroom 4. The kitchen is small and simple and contains a fridge/freezer, an oven and a stove, as well as the basic utensils needed for whipping up a quick snack. The lounge, which has under floor heating, contains a television, two armchairs and a small sofa. There is also a laundry room located on this level, containing a dishwasher, a washing machine and a tumble dryer. |
