Situated directly across from the beach, with the Twelve Apostles mountain range as a majestic backdrop, the Glen Beach Villas have one of the most prestigious locations in the whole of Cape Town. These three exclusive luxury apartments share similar views of the gleaming sands of Glen beach - the small, secluded beach situated between Clifton and Camps Bay beaches - and of the awe-inspiring expanse of the Atlantic ocean beyond.
From the balconies of these properties, one's senses are flooded by the sights, sounds and smells of Camps Bay. Lush green vegetation punctuated by tall palms and weather-beaten rocks border the white sand of Glen beach, beyond which the surfer-dotted Atlantic ocean lies - at times, dark and turbulent; at others, turquoise and serene. During the day, with the doors onto the terrace open, the sounds of reveling beach-goers, car music and the breaking of the waves on the beach can be heard; in the evening, when everyone has migrated from the beach to the restaurants and night clubs of Camps Bay, one can relax on a deck-chair and enjoy the view of the palm trees silhouetted against the sinking sun, whilst soaking up the tangy scent of the ocean.
While all three apartments share similar views and decor, their facilities do vary slightly. Villa 2, being situated on the northern side of the complex, has a spectacular view of a plunging ravine surrounded by the lush indigenous vegetation found in the neighbouring forest. Villas 2 and 3 are situated one level higher than Villa 1, giving them a slightly more impressive sea view, although their mountain views are not quite as good as those seen from Villa 1 and they do not have the grassy patio found in the lower apartment. In addition, Villa 1 is built over just two levels, while Villas 2 and 3 span three. All three villas share the same stylish, minimalist decor: white linen combined with polished dark wood, tastefully decorated with African touches.

Bedroom 1 With magnificent sea views and sliding glass doors opening onto a timber balcony, the spacious master bedroom is a wonderfully light and airy room. During the day it is filled with sunlight, but there are tall timber shutters and heavy stone-coloured curtains to provide shade during the heat of the afternoon. This room exhibits a beautiful combination of dark wood and white linen, as well as travertine floor tiles, a king-size bed, abundant wardrobe space and a large open-plan bathroom. Bedroom 2 Adorned in shades of blue and sea green, this bedroom has a soft, carpeted floor with underfloor heating, a heavy teak sliding door, a queen-size bed, a large built-in wardrobe, and spectacular mountain and forest views. Bedroom 3 This bedroom (with en-suite bathroom) also has a carpeted floor with underfloor heating, as well as a queen-size bed, a spacious wardrobe, and a wicker chaise longue. It opens onto a timber deck with a pool and it receives lovely afternoon sunlight. |

Travertine tiles line the walls and floor, while one wall is entirely covered with glittering glass mosaics. Bathroom 2 Decorated in shades of turquoise and cream, this en-suite bathroom has an extremely spacious shower, as well as a toilet and single vanity. The lower level of this apartment has an open-plan living area, consisting of the lounge, dining room and kitchen. The floor of this area is covered in dark, solid teak floorboards, and it opens onto the travertine-tiled patio through sliding glass doors. The sea view from this part of the house is truly magnificent and there is a constant supply of gentle sunshine and fresh air. The polished teak dining table surrounded by white upholstered chairs can seat 6 people and the adjacent cafe bar in the kitchen can seat an additional 3. The lounge contains a matt white leather sofa, a wicker ottoman, two wicker armchairs, a satellite flat-screen TV, and a fireplace set in the wall. On the upper level there is another lounge, containing: a work-station with drawers for filing, and plug points for electronic connectivity; two armchairs; a TV and a DVD player. This room, which has an amazing view of Lion's Head mountain, also has an additional single sleeper couch for a seventh guest. |

On the lower level, the open-plan living area opens through sliding glass doors onto a travertine-tiled patio with phenomenal sea views to the front, and mountain views to either side. The 6-seater teak table and gas barbeque make this the perfect place to enjoy a meal on a balmy summer's evening whilst witnessing one of Camps Bay's legendary rosy sunsets. On the upper level, the main bedroom leads out onto a timber deck with a beautiful private pool, beside which are a couple of sun-loungers positioned for optimal sun-worshipping. Like the lower terrace, the upper deck has wonderful ocean and mountain views. |
