Kestrel Place possesses an extremely rare, possibly even unique, combination of features: it is a large, spacious villa situated in a quiet, private lane, yet it is only a couple of minutes stroll from the beach and bustling promenade of Camps Bay. Not only that, but it also has phenomenal views of the entire stretch of Camps Bay beach as well as a stream originating from the top of Table Mountain which runs through its garden. With simple but tasteful furnishings, a generous amount of living space and 5 bedrooms spread over three levels, this is the perfect accommodation for a group of young friends or a couple of families wishing to have a comfortable, cosy base from which to explore the sights of the Mother City.
With three terraces, one on each level of the house, this villa has numerous positions from which to read a book or sip a drink whilst enjoying the spectacular view of the long white curve of Camps Bay beach, framed by palm fronds, beyond which the vast expanse of the Atlantic ocean extends into the distance as far as the eye can see. In addition, each of the five elegant bedrooms has its own balcony from which magnificent views of the craggy Twelve Apostles mountain range can be enjoyed.
Kestrel Place is a villa which was designed with the beach side vacationer in mind, something which is evident in all aspects of the house. The decor is tasteful but not ostentatious, revolving primarily around dark timber furniture, white linen with splashes of bright colour and African touches. There is a large swimming pool and an outside patio where you can soak up the rays of the sun during the afternoon, and a pool table which can provide hours of entertainment if you wish to escape from the midday heat. One of the best features of the house, though, is the way in which very little sound filters from one floor to the next, so a group of children can watch a film upstairs while their parents host a dinner party downstairs undisturbed. It is for this reason that Kestrel Place is popular with people young and old alike. If your wish is to experience the fun side of Cape Town secure in the knowledge that you have a welcoming and comfortable home to return to, this is the perfect accommodation for you.
