Glen Views

Situated in a peaceful and exclusive cul-de-sac, just one road back from the beach, Glen Views represents some of the best aspects of the Camps Bay lifestyle that this area has to offer. Although it is a short walk from the vibrant main strip, this villa exudes a sense of tranquility and peace, rare in many Camps Bay homes.

The property is situated next to a lush, indigenous forest with a running stream which flows down from the mountain, so although there are many places in the house where one can soak up the sunlight, there are also shaded areas to sit and eat a meal or read a book. However, the stunning sea and mountain views will remind you that you are, in fact, living in one of South Africa's most beautiful coastal areas.

Considering that it is a three-bedroomed townhouse, the property is extremely spacious, with two lounges (a main lounge and a television lounge), a cutting edge galley-style kitchen, three outside courtyards and a large pool. The bedrooms themselves are wonderfully large and airy, with exceptionally high ceilings above and soft carpeting underfoot.

All the rooms of the house have large glass sliding doors, most of which open completely to the outside, and - with the exception of the carpeted bedrooms - the floors inside and outside are tiled with travertine, creating a wonderful, indoor-outdoor flow. Hence, despite its minimalist decor and contemporary architecture, whilst living in Glen Views you always retains a sense of being connected with the nature around you.

Accommodation

6 people

Location

Set just one road back from the beach in an exclusive secluded cul-de-sac.

Bedrooms (3)

Bedroom 1

The spacious main bedroom has a king-size bed, air conditioner, a satellite television, crisp white linen, heavy voluminous curtains and soft cream carpeting. From this room one has a magnificent view of the mountain, as well as of the surrounding forest through which glimpses of the sea can be seen. The flick roof with sloped ceiling creates a sense of exceptionally high volume.

Bedroom 2

The second bedroom is equally luxurious as the first and, although it is slightly smaller, it has the added attraction of opening onto a spacious terrace with spectacular views on three sides - the mountain, the forest and the Atlantic ocean. As is the case with the master bedroom, this room is extremely light, airy and sunny. The room has twin beds (a king-size bed can be made up on request) with the same top-quality linen shared by the other two rooms, satellite television and an en-suite bathroom.

Bedroom 3

The third bedroom has the same soft cream carpeting, excellent linen and heavy stone-coloured curtains as the other two rooms. In addition it has beautiful sea views, sliding glass doors which open onto the terrace, and an all-day supply of sunlight. The beds are twin singles, and there is a satellite television.

Bathrooms (3)

Bathroom 1

This en-suite bathroom has a large spa bath, porcelain tiling on the floor and walls, a spacious shower, a double vanity, a toilet, bidet and glass shelving. During the day it is filled with beautiful natural light.

Bathroom 2

Like the bathroom in the master bedroom, this bathroom is en suite to bedroom 2 and has a spa bath, porcelain tiling, a toilet and a single vanity basin.

Bathroom 3

This separate bathroom has a roomy walk-in shower, a toilet and a basin and, like the other two bathrooms, the floor and walls are covered with porcelain tiles.

Guest Bathroom

There is a spacious guest toilet with a hand washbasin on the entrance level of the house, near the front door.

Other Rooms

The television lounge has a soft L-shaped couch, a massive flatscreen television with satellite connection and a DVD player. Glass sliding doors open completely onto an outside balcony which looks into the heart of the surrounding forest.

The main lounge has a sofa and two armchairs, as well as a dark timber coffee table, with sliding doors which open onto an outside courtyard. Both lounges are decorated in autumn hues - red, ochre and burnt orange - and have dark timber shelving.

The open-plan dining room, which is situated between the two lounges, has an 8-seater timber dining table surrounded by comfortable chairs upholstered in the warm, rich colours present throughout the house.

On the bottom level of the house there is a laundry area, with a washing machine and tumble dryer, as well as an additional bathroom with a toilet and a shower.

Outside
